Assessment Only Route

If you have completed a training course for the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), but have not been able to complete your training due to an issue with your provider, we can help.

We will assess your coursework and assignments, and guide you to complete the qualification. We are an approved centre with the Highfield Awarding Body.

AET - Assessment Route Only

What is an 'assessment only' route

  • It's a way of achieving a qualification by not taking a training course with us.
  • For example, if you have completed an online AET course with a training provider and submitted assignments, but you have not been formally assessed. Or you have been assessed, but your certificate has proved to be fraudulent.
  • You may be able to re-use your completed coursework and assignments, providing your responses meet the AET assessment criteria.
  • You will still need to deliver a micro-teach session, and provide feedback regarding other micro-teach sessions. Guidance will be given regarding this.

Why do we have an ‘assessment route’ only programme?

We understand that purchasing a course or qualification is an investment in both time and money. Many learners have spent a lot of their time studying and have paid good money for the resources, service and accreditation.

We have been approached by learners who have experienced the following:

  • They were issued with fraudulent certificates
  • The training centre ceased trading before the learner could complete their qualification
  • The learner was not supported by the provider
  • This is not an exhaustive list.

We have a proven track record in helping learners who have experienced these situations to achieve their qualification.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)

We are pleased to announce that you can now work towards the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) qualification with an assessment only route. This is providing you already have the knowledge, but you just need to be assessed.

Free informal guidance includes:

  • A consultation with KMF training to ascertain the background of your situation, and your current knowledge regarding the AET content
  • A free informal assessment of your coursework/assignments (which you completed elsewhere). We will check to see if your responses can be used to meet any/all of the AET assessment criteria
  • An action plan with guidance as to any gaps you need to work on
  • A price for the assessment only route based on your individual needs
  • You can then complete any gaps by reading the course text book*, and/or working through relevant online modules**.

This advice is free and it's your decision if you wish to progress to the assessment only route.
